What is the mission of the Reset Wand?
Our mission is to provide a wellness tool that is easy to use, inspired by research in auricular therapy, vagal tone, vibroacoustic sound and acupoint techniques, and that helps people support relaxation, stress management, comfort and overall wellness as part of a healthy lifestyle.
We believe every person deserves simple, accessible tools to care for their nervous system. This has always been about something bigger than a wellness product: a future where more people can find calm, connection and hope, one reset at a time.
What exactly is the Reset Wand?
The Reset Wand is a handheld precision tool that brings six complementary wellness practices into one daily ritual: auricular acupressure, vagus nerve focused massage, body acupressure, copper-coated magnetic ear seeds, guided sound and guided education with Reset AI.
The copper ball end is for massage anywhere on the body, including along the neck. The fine tip places ear seeds on the points the app shows you. No training or experience is required.
Is it a good value compared with other wellness options?
Wellness can add up quickly. Appointments for acupuncture or massage, monthly app subscriptions and single-purpose devices each cost money, and time: booking, travelling, waiting, and juggling several tools and routines.
The Reset Wand brings several complementary practices together in one portable system you can use at home, at work, while travelling, before a meeting or at bedtime. Fewer gadgets. Less complexity. More ways to care for yourself.
It is not meant to replace professional massage, acupuncture or healthcare. It gives you an accessible tool to reach for whenever you want to pause, reconnect and reset.
Is this a medical device?
No. The Reset Wand is a wellness product, not a medical device. It has not been evaluated by the FDA and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. If you have a medical condition, please consult a qualified healthcare provider before use.
Is the Reset Wand safe?
The Reset Wand is designed as a noninvasive wellness tool that uses gentle pressure, smooth massage surfaces and wearable ear seeds as part of an everyday self-care routine. It contains no needles, no heat and no electrical stimulation.
Please consult your healthcare provider before use if you are pregnant, have a pacemaker or other implanted medical device, have a serious medical condition, or have questions about whether the Reset Wand is right for you. The Reset Wand contains magnets.
How is it different from seeing an acupuncturist?
Acupuncture is performed by a trained professional using very thin needles at specific points on the body, and for many people it is an important part of their care.
The Reset Wand offers a different experience. Inspired in part by Traditional Chinese Medicine and auricular acupressure, it is portable, uses no needles and is designed for everyday self-care, with guided education that shows you where and how to use it.
Do I need any training to use it?
No. The Reset App will guide you step by step, and most sessions take about five minutes. It is designed for complete beginners.
Can I stop taking my medications if I use the Reset Wand?
No. Never stop or change any prescribed medication without talking to your healthcare provider. The Reset Wand is meant to complement healthy wellness practices, not replace medical care.

The science behind acupressure and ear seeds
What research is the Reset Wand based on?
The Reset Wand brings together practices that have each been researched on their own for years: auricular acupressure and ear seeds, acupressure and touch, massage, the auricular branch of the vagus nerve, breathing and relaxation, and guided sound.
The Reset Wand does not claim to provide clinical electrical vagus nerve stimulation. Our approach combines gentle massage, touch, acupressure, breathing and guided practices inspired by the growing science of nervous system regulation.
Do ear seeds really work?
Ear seeds come from Traditional Chinese Medicine, where the ear is viewed as a map of the whole body. Originally they were seeds of the Vaccaria plant, used alongside acupuncture.
Ear seeds apply gentle, steady pressure to points on the outer ear, the same points used in auricular acupuncture. Clinical research and systematic reviews have explored auricular acupressure for discomfort, relaxation, anxiety and sleep. With the Reset Wand you place your seeds in under two minutes, wear them for up to five days, then remove and reset.
Why copper?
Copper has been valued for thousands of years in traditional wellness systems, including Ayurveda, where it is associated with balance and vitality. We chose it for that history and for its material qualities: it is durable, highly conductive, and develops a natural patina with use.
Why create the Reset Wand if these techniques already exist?
None of these practices is new. What is new is having them together in one place.
Ear seeds, acupressure, massage and mindfulness are usually experienced separately, with different tools, appointments, apps and a lot of figuring out where to begin. The Reset Wand puts them in one portable system, with guided education that shows you where and how.
Is the published research about the Reset Wand itself?
No. The studies we reference look at the techniques the Reset Wand is designed to make easier, not at this specific product. We keep that line clear on purpose. When independent results on the Reset Wand are available, we will publish them on our Science page.
Why do you talk about studies that did not use the Reset Wand?
Because they explain the principles behind the techniques the Reset Wand helps you practice. We think it matters to separate research on a technique from the tool used to apply it, so you always know what the evidence does and does not cover.
Is everyone’s experience the same?
No. Responses to wellness practices vary from person to person. Overall health, consistency, lifestyle and individual physiology all play a part.

What happens if something goes wrong with my reward?
We are committed to delivering a product you are proud to own. If your reward arrives damaged or with a manufacturing defect, contact us within 30 days and we will make it right, by replacing it at no cost or refunding you if a replacement is not possible.
Kickstarter is not a traditional store, and manufacturing can bring surprises. We promise to communicate openly the whole way, and we don’t consider our relationship with you complete when your package arrives.
